Micro, SME & Third Sector Showcase
The Welsh Government will once again host a Micro, SME & Third Sector Showcase at Procurex Wales.
Together with partners, Business Wales and Social Business Wales (Cwmpas, Social Firms Wales and the Development Trade Association), the Showcase is designed to enable public sector buyers attending Procurex to explore new opportunities and discuss the practicalities of expanding their supply chains to include a greater number of small and micro-businesses, as well as social enterprises, charities and not-for-profit organisations in Wales.
The Showcase has been developed in response to the Social Partnership and Public Procurement (Wales) Act 2023 (SPPP Act), which is designed to embed socially responsible procurement practices across the Welsh public sector. It complements the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 and works alongside the Procurement Act 2023 and the Health Service Procurement (Wales) Act 2024 to create a unified framework for ethical, transparent, and impactful public procurement.
Representatives from Business Wales / Social Business Wales will be on hand to speak to procurement professionals, as well as providing advice to small businesses and third sector suppliers who are interested in promoting their products and services to public sector organisations.
Micro, SME & Third Sector Showcase Exhibitors
The 2025 Showcase will feature 10 organisations that have taken innovative approaches to supplying products or services to public sector buyers, enabling them to maximise their investment in the local economy, support the foundational economy and create social value.
